Our Rhyl surgery officially opened its doors to clients on Monday 25 April. We had a really busy first day, meeting lots of new faces and saying hello to our new patients.

Located at the former Aldi site on Wellington Road in Rhyl, the property has undergone a radical transformation in time for opening. The 6,000 square foot veterinary surgery now comprises nine consultation rooms and four theatres and is staffed by a highly experienced team of three Vets, three Nurses, two Client Service Advisors and a Practice Manager. The new Rhyl surgery will provide a full range of veterinary services including consultations, surgery, dental care, X-rays and ultrasound.

Animal Trust was established in 2012 by Founder and CEO Owen Monie, and currently has ten surgeries in the North West of England, Yorkshire and North Wales. He commented: “Our ethos has always been that every animal deserves access to good, affordable veterinary care whenever they need it. We’re delighted to be able to extend our services to the residents of Rhyl and the North Wales coastline and we’re looking forward to welcoming clients to our new surgery.”

We’re also planning an ‘official’ open day in May when we have some fun stuff planned. We’ve invited the local Mayor, we’ll have a photographer on site for a short time where people can get a photo of themselves with their pet, and we’ve engaged with a couple of local schools to get them involved with competitions and possibly a tour of our facilities.

New client Jenny brought her little kitten Spot for a check-up and his first vaccination on opening day. She commented: “I was looking for a local vet for Spot, so when I saw Animal Trust was opening in Rhyl, I decided to register him immediately. All the reviews about other Animal Trust surgeries were great and the prices were affordable, both of which are important to me.

“The staff were really helpful and knowledgeable, and provided me with lots of information and advice about how to care for my kitten. The surgery itself looks amazing, with great facilities for pet care,” she added.
