We’re pleased to announce that Animal Trust Wrexham now operates 7 days a week, making it easier for locals to access urgent care, which is particularly important during the coronavirus outbreak.
Since opening just over 6 months ago, the surgery has seen over 2,500 pets register. Now, by operating 7 days a week pet owners have the reassurance that local emergency and urgent care is there for their pets during COVID-19.
Speaking about the new development, Lead Vet Rhys says; ’’Our not-for-profit ethos means we’re committed to making our services accessible to as many pet owners as possible and we will be here 7 days a week providing emergency and urgent care appointments to those pets who are sick enough to need to see a vet’’.
Rhys continues; ‘’For less urgent cases we have introduced a new online vet video consultation service. This is another way for us to support owners who may have a concern about their pet and would like some professional advice, but from the comfort and safety of their own home.’’
At the beginning of the COVID-19 crisis, all Animal Trust surgeries introduced measures to help support social distancing and these measures are still in place for clients who need to visit for emergency appointments which are available by calling the surgery.
‘’We’re all about delivering the best access to good care and during this time we want to reassure owners that Animal Trust is here to care for the sick and injured’’; comments Rhys.
‘’At Animal Trust we believe that affordable veterinary care should be made accessible to everyone and there is no eligibility criteria to meet when joining us. We also welcome all pet owners — even ones who may already be registered with another vet’’.
‘’It’s important that even during this difficult and uncertain time that critically ill pets have access to the care that they need and we are delighted to be able to provide this. Our nearby Ellesmere Port surgery is also operational 24/7 so we can provide non-stop emergency care’’; adds Rhys.
