Surgery for Vivienne the cat after a road accident

Vivienne is a nine-month-old domestic short-haired cat.
Vivienne was referred to Dylan at Animal Trust Ellesmere Port, following a road traffic accident that led to multiple breaks in his pelvis. Dylan and the surgical team quickly assessed Vivienne’s injuries and decided the best course of action was to repair the fracture using a metal plate and screws – a procedure that would stabilise his pelvis and support proper healing. The surgery was a success, and Vivienne was able to go home the very next day to continue his recovery in familiar surroundings.
Recently, Vivienne returned to us for follow-up X-rays, which showed excellent progress and confirmed that his pelvis has healed beautifully. His mobility is improving every day, and he’s back to enjoying life at home.
