Who Can Use the Repeat Medication Service
Our repeat medication service is available for pets receiving treatment prescribed by Animal Trust Vets. You can request repeat medication from your vet or request a written prescription for ongoing conditions requiring long-term medication for cats and dogs. This service makes repeat prescriptions for pets simple and convenient to request online.
How It Works
1. Log in to your My Animal Trust account or create one online.
2. Request your pet’s repeat medication or a written prescription through your My Animal Trust account.
3. Our team will review your request and approve it where appropriate. In some cases, your pet may need a check-up before medication can be prescribed or a written prescription issued.
4. Once approved, collect your pet’s medication or written prescription from your chosen Animal Trust surgery.
Important Prescribing Information
Veterinary medicines are regulated by law, so we may sometimes need to examine your pet before prescribing medication or issuing a written prescription.
The maximum amount we can prescribe at one time is:
Up to 12 months of flea and worming treatment
Up to 2 months of most other long-term medications
Controlled drugs are usually limited to a maximum of 30 days’ supply
Your vet may decide to prescribe a smaller amount depending on your pet’s condition and treatment needs.
Please request repeat medication or written prescriptions at least 7 days before you run out to allow enough time for your request to be reviewed and processed.
