We’re proud to announce that in response to helping pet owners during the coronavirus outbreak Animal Trust Blackburn will now be operating 7 days a week.
The surgery opened in 2014 and quickly became very well established with thousands of pet owners in the local area. The surgery will be providing an emergency service for sick and injured pets, 7 days a week, meaning there will no longer be a need for clients to travel to our Bolton surgery, during weekends.
Discussing this latest development Lead Vet at the surgery, Daniel Boni said; ‘’This is a very strange and uncertain time for everyone and we want to reassure pet owners that throughout we will be here to provide emergency and urgent care to pets.’’
He continues; ‘’By operating our service 7 days a week we hope that pet owners will be confident that they can access vital care for their pet should they need it. There is no eligibility criteria to meet when joining us and we are open to everyone — even if owners are already registered with another veterinary surgery.’’
‘’For less urgent cases, we are now offering a new online vet video consultation service’’; adds Daniel. ‘’Using our video platform we are able to offer professional advice and prescribe any vital medications so owners don’t have to leave the safety of home’’.
At the beginning of the COVID-19 crisis, all Animal Trust surgeries introduced measures to help support social distancing and these measures are still in place for clients who need to visit for emergency appointments which are available by calling the surgery.
‘’It’s important that even during this difficult and uncertain time that critically ill pets have access to the care that they need and we are delighted to be able to provide this. We also work closely with our nearby Bolton surgery which operates 24/7 so we are in a position to provide non-stop emergency care.’’
