    Roles Overview

    We are seeking an experienced and passionate Lead Veterinary Surgeon to join our team at Animal Trust in Rhyl, Denbighshire. This role is perfect for a dedicated professional who excels in both clinical practice and leadership. You will lead a team of vets, ensuring high standards of clinical care through coaching, mentoring, and clinical governance. Your role will be pivotal in embedding Animal Trust values and fostering a nurturing work environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Clinical Leadership: Ensure high standards of clinical care through coaching, mentoring, and overseeing clinical governance.
    • Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of veterinary professionals, conducting 1-2-1 meetings and performance management sessions.
    • Operational Oversight: Collaborate with the Practice Manager to evaluate clinic KPIs and P&L, ensuring optimal performance and success.
    • Client Communication: Maintain exceptional communication with clients, providing clear and compassionate guidance on pet care.
    • Staff Meetings: Confidently lead staff and clinical governance meetings, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.

    Skills and Qualifications

    • Clinical Expertise: Strong clinical skills with a focus on high-quality veterinary care.
    • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
    • Leadership Experience: Proven experience in leading and managing veterinary teams.
