Experience & Roles: Mariella has many years of experience in small animal practice, working both as part of a team and in sole-charge roles. She is skilled in all aspects of veterinary medicine and surgery, providing comprehensive care to pets.  

Areas of Interest: Mariella has a particular interest in soft tissue surgery, while also being a well-rounded general practice (GP) veterinarian, dedicated to delivering high-quality veterinary care.

Professional Qualifications: MA, VetMB, MRCVS  

Experience & Roles: Matt qualified as a veterinary surgeon from Cambridge University in 2006 and has worked in practice ever since. He has previously worked in a tier 3 veterinary hospital in a surgical capacity and now has a dual role at Animal Trust as Clinical Compliance Manager, as part of the Quality Team, with a responsibility for clinical governance; as well as working in clinic in a primarily surgical role. 

Areas of Interest: Matt has a particular interest in soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery, as well as quality improvement, antibiotic stewardship and clinical governance.

Professional Qualifications: BVSc, MRCVS

Experience & Roles: Gill qualified from the University of Liverpool in 1998 and has worked in both charity and private veterinary practice. She has extensive experience across all areas of small animal practice, alongside senior leadership roles within a large multi-site veterinary organisation, overseeing clinical operations, governance and team development across multiple locations.

Areas of Interest: Gill has a particular interest in client communication and believes that clear, compassionate conversations are central to excellent veterinary care. She is passionate about helping pet owners feel informed, supported and confident in decisions about their pets’ health and wellbeing.
