Birkenhead | Manchester
Located in central Birkenhead, the surgery is easily accessible from the motorway network. In addition to offering services to local clients, it regularly treats pets from across the Wirral and Liverpool regions. The surgery was a bespoke conversion and provides a modern facility ideal for delivering safe and effective veterinary care. A large private car park with on-site electric car charging is available to clients.
As well as offering routine GP services like general surgery, dentistry, vaccines and consults, the surgery has several vets with further interests, allowing it to offer its patients care in orthopaedic surgery, high-level ultrasound and more complex medical cases. The service also offers an onsite laboratory and nurse consult service. This allows the Birkenhead clinic to provide a comprehensive veterinary care service to its patients, with the hospitalisation and out-of-hours emergency care undertaken by our nearby Ellesmere Port A&E surgery, which is open 24/7 - 365 days a year.
The surgery has no eligibility criteria for joining and is dedicated to providing a valuable service to the pet-owning community.

Our Prices at Animal Trust Birkenhead
For sick pet care, you'll find many of our prices are market-leading, especially when you consider the level of inclusivity in our services, such as our commitment to supporting pets through complications and prioritising quality standards. You can see some of our surgery, investigation, and inpatient care costs here.
For elective procedures like vaccinations and neutering, we aim to offer fair pricing. However, rather than heavily discounting these services, we'd rather that the revenue is used to keep urgent and lifesaving treatments more affordable, because when a pet is seriously ill, cost should never be a barrier to care.

Out-of-Hours Pet A&E
Animal Trust provides emergency out-of-hours access at our Pet A&E centres.
Our out-of-hours service, Pet A&E, offers a comprehensive emergency service when day vets are closed. Rest assured, whether it’s emergency surgery, an urgent consultation, or admission for inpatient hospital care, our dedicated and experienced emergency team is on-site around the clock to support you when your pet needs us most.
We believe in fair pricing, day and night, so our fees are the same as Animal Trust’s daytime pricing, with just a modest, fair out-of-hours supplement of £79.
