Nisha's recovery from a dog attack

This is Nisha, a 7-year-old Shih Tzu who was recently attacked by another dog. While out on a walk in the park with her owner and her sibling, Lilly Mia, both dogs were attacked by a much larger dog. Nisha was left with serious injuries, including multiple puncture wounds, abdominal wall tears that required emergency surgery, and a painful tail de-gloving injury. She was also found to have a vertebral fracture and a pelvic fracture, which thankfully did not require surgery.
Nisha was brought straight to Animal Trust Rhyl, where she received immediate care. She was then transferred to our Ellesmere Port pet hospital for overnight monitoring and further treatment by our emergency care team. Her sibling Lilly Mia also needed veterinary attention, including stitches and a feeding tube to support her recovery.
Thanks to the quick action of their owner and our teams, both Nisha and Lilly Mia are now safely back home and continuing their recovery with lots of care and rest.
