Understanding your veterinary treatment costs
Medical and surgical conditions can change. This means that, as a condition develops or as we learn more from tests or treatment, the final cost may be higher or lower than originally expected. We minimise uncertainty where possible through inclusive pricing, but costs can sometimes increase significantly.
We will keep you informed of likely costs and any material changes. Estimates and invoices can be viewed in the My Animal Trust portal where available.
Frequently asked questions about our veterinary prices
We have answered some of the most commonly asked questions relating to prices.
Our procedure prices are the same regardless of your pet’s size or weight. Some procedures have different prices for different species, as shown in our price list. Medicines and parasite treatments may vary in price depending on your pet’s weight, the product and the amount required.
For some procedures and hospital admissions, a deposit may be required before treatment starts. This is usually £430, or the procedure cost if lower. If you do not attend the appointment, the deposit may be lost. If your pet is insured and you have concerns about funding the deposit, please speak to our team.
Payment is usually due at the time of treatment. Our team will explain expected costs before treatment goes ahead wherever practical.
If your pet is insured, please bring your policy details and speak to the team about what information may be needed for your claim. Our insurance policy.
Estimates are based on the information available at the time. Costs can change if your pet needs additional diagnostics, treatment or inpatient hospital care.
If you are worried about costs, please speak to the team before treatment. We can explain available options and next steps.
