Pet-Friendly Pancakes Recipe
1 large egg
1 ripe banana (or ¼ cup mashed cooked sweet potato)
¼ cup water
¼ cup oat flour (just blend oats)
Optional swap: rice flour or whole wheat flour1 tsp salmon oil or olive oil (optional for healthy fats)
Makes 4–6 small pancakes
Note: No milk, no added salt, no sugar, no chocolate, no leavening.
Cooking Instructions
Mash banana in a bowl until smooth.
Add the egg and water → whisk together.
Stir in oat flour until it becomes a loose batter.
Heat a non-stick pan on low–medium heat.
Pour small dollops (silver-dollar size) into the pan.
Cook 1–2 minutes per side until lightly golden.
Let cool completely before serving.
Pet-Friendly Pancakes Serving Ideas
For dogs: top with a tiny smear of peanut butter (xylitol-free).
For cats: shred a little cooked chicken or drizzle a few drops of tuna water on top.
Break into small treats or use as a pill-hiding snack.
